About.

I was a small town girl from Maribel, WI; I grew up on a farm and the highlight of my childhood summers was showing cows. Every summer my family went to the county and state fair with my dad's beautiful animals. Being in the show ring with my calf as a young child was the first type of 'performance' I ever did.

In 2003 I graduated from the University of WI-Milwaukee with a BFA in dance. Since then, I have been living and working in New York City as a dance artist. As an artist, I am always a collaborator, often a performer, and on occasion a choreographer and creator.

I have been performing with Third Rail Projects Then She Fell, and collaborating and dancing with Jody Oberfelder Projects since 2013. Since 2017 I have also been Co-Rehearsal Director for Then She Fell. In addition to performing, working with other dancers around the globe has inspired me to begin researching improvisational practices.

I find value, growth and perspective by enabling artists to tap into the social practice of improvisation as a group.

This personal commitment has lead me to co-organize Movement Playdates: an improvisational practice focusing on the relationship between movers while exploring the use of space, time, and dynamics.

In past years I have also performed work by: Becky Radway Dance Projects, Megan Bascom & Dancers, the Resonance Collective, Elia Mrak (Seattle), Viko Kaizen (Mexico), Regina Nejman and Company, Kelly Anderson (Chicago), John J Zullo Dance, David Appel Dance, Rebollar Dance Theater (D.C.), Simone Ferro (Milwaukee), and Foothold dance (Milwaukee).

In 2005 I co-founded Jigsaw Soul as lead choreographer, a performer, and curator! You can see some of our work here: Cockroach Hotel. I have also collaborated with musicians Summer Come Yelling and The Glass Half.  Other choreography credits include the production of You Can’t Take it With You at the University of Rochester, NY (’08), and Open the Dark Door in the New York Musical Theater Festival (‘09), and solo work SHift (‘12 Brooklyn, NY).

I will always enjoy creating solo work, dance films, and taking photos. I am most inspired by my friends, traveling, nature, and generosity.
